Plant Care Tips

Planting Instructions
Choose a location in full sun with loose, well-drained soil. Prepare your area by loosening the soil and mix a 2- to 4-inch layer of organic matter like compost, peat moss or manure into the soil. Dig a hole twice the diameter of the container and plant so the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Carefully fill in the hole and water thoroughly. Adding a layer of mulch can help to retain moisture and control weeds.
General Care Description
Easy care. Trim in winter to rejuvenate blooms and foliage and to manage its size. Cut out dead undergrowth from mound, then fluff up foliage so plant can breathe and restore fullness. Occasionally, gently comb through crown with hand rake to remove dead foliage, rejuvenate, control size. Spreads by runners, called rhizomes, and seed close to mother clump. Pull, if needed to maintain shape of entire plant.
