Planting Instructions

Choose a spot in full sun with well-draining soil. Amend heavy clay or sandy soils with organic matter, such as compost, manure, or peat moss. Dig a hole about twice the size of the diameter of the pot. Gently remove the plant from the container, keeping the root ball intact. Loosen the roots and plant level with the surrounding soil, spreading roots outward. Fill around roots with amended native soil. Water deeply. Adding a layer of mulch can help to retain moisture and control weeds.

General Care Description

Easily grown in moist, organically rich, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates some drought. Best in cool summer climates.
